Our garden is an out-growth of Lynn's interest in gardening
and my lack of interest and desire for lawn care.
After watching our front yard turn brown in August for the past 20+ years,
it was about time for a change.

Our property is located in the Loess Hills (coincidently behind Mosher's Greenhouse). It is approximately an acre, and is bordered by 40 foot trees and a natural forest. We share our garden with natures best e.g. deer, opossums, fox, raccoons, rabbits, birds, turkeys, voles, moles, and more moles. We love them all and they love the garden.

Our garden is considered casual, accentuated by Lynn's artistic touches and literally tons of rock work. Because much of the garden drops 5 feet for every 12 feet laterally, most plants must be the "well-drained" type.

There are some points of interest that you won't want to miss:
  • Check out the "Crows Nest" where there is a 240 degree view of the garden.
  • Don't miss the famous "Bikini Tree". (You will be searching the garden centers for this tree to add to your wish list).
  • Take the nature trail walk to appreciate the totality of our landscape.
  • And finally, watch your step where ever you are, as the moles are more permanent tenants than the property owners.

Have fun and enjoy.
Sincerely, John and Lynn Woolridge
